Awareness Training Organized within the Scope of Cooperation between the Department of Social Studies Education and AFAD Elazığ Provincial Directorate!

In order to develop disaster awareness among students and help them acquire proper behaviors in possible disaster situations, a Disaster Awareness Training was organized for the students of Mollakendi Primary and Secondary School in cooperation with the Department of Social Studies Education and AFAD Elazığ Provincial Directorate.

During the training, carried out by the teams of AFAD Elazığ Provincial Directorate, students were informed about earthquakes, floods, fires, and other types of disasters. In addition, information was provided on the precautions to be taken before disasters, the correct behaviors during disasters, and what should be done after disasters.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Çakar Çelik, one of the faculty members of our Department, made significant contributions to the training process in terms of developing a culture of safe living among students and increasing disaster awareness.
